{"id":619,"date":"2011-11-08T07:18:52","date_gmt":"2011-11-08T15:18:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nadynerichmond.com\/blog\/?p=619"},"modified":"2011-11-07T13:29:21","modified_gmt":"2011-11-07T21:29:21","slug":"one-year-at-vmware","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nadynerichmond.com\/blog\/2011\/11\/08\/one-year-at-vmware\/","title":{"rendered":"one year at VMware!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One year ago today, <a title=\"joining VMware\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nadynerichmond.com\/blog\/2010\/11\/08\/joining-vmware\/\">I joined VMware<\/a>. \u00a0And what a year it&#8217;s been!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve done quite a lot of research. \u00a0I&#8217;ve done research on several things, including \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vmware.com\/products\/datacenter-virtualization\/vfabric-data-director\">vFabric Data Director<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vmware.com\/products\/desktop_virtualization\/horizon\/\">Horizon<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zimbra.com\/\">Zimbra<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vmware.com\/products\/vsphere\/overview.html\">vSphere<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vmware.com\/products\/vcloud\/overview.html\">vCloud<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vmware.com\/\">VMware website<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vmware.com\/products\/vcloud-director\/overview.html\">vCloud Director<\/a>. \u00a0Some of the research has been validation, some of it has been generative.<\/p>\n<p>I created, organized, and managed VMware&#8217;s first gathering of its internal user experience community. \u00a0Last week, about 60 people came together in Palo Alto to discuss our user experience.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s next? \u00a0I&#8217;ve got three major studies that I&#8217;m working on now, all of which are generative research. \u00a0They&#8217;re all intended to set our user experience direction for future releases.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been an awesome year. \u00a0Let&#8217;s see what happens next &#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One year ago today, I joined VMware. \u00a0And what a year it&#8217;s been!
