{"id":1307,"date":"2013-08-22T07:33:53","date_gmt":"2013-08-22T14:33:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nadynerichmond.com\/blog\/?p=1307"},"modified":"2013-08-21T17:47:16","modified_gmt":"2013-08-22T00:47:16","slug":"macit-2014-call-for-speakers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nadynerichmond.com\/blog\/2013\/08\/22\/macit-2014-call-for-speakers\/","title":{"rendered":"MacIT 2014 call for speakers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.macitconf.com\/\">MacIT<\/a> 2014 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.macitconf.com\/2014CallforSpeakers\">Call for Speakers<\/a> is now live. \u00a0MacIT will be held in San Francisco, California, on March 26-29, 2014. \u00a0In short, we&#8217;re looking for people who have experience as Mac system administrators who want to share their expertise and network with other Mac sysadmins.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, here are some things for which I&#8217;d love to see MacIT proposals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>creating heterogeneous IT environments &#8212; How did you go from a homogeneous environment to a heterogeneous one? \u00a0What did you learn along the way? \u00a0What would you do differently? \u00a0What caused you to move to a heterogeneous environment?<\/li>\n<li>integrating Macs and iOS into enterprise IT &#8212; How did you manage the transition? \u00a0How did you train your staff? \u00a0What changes did you have to make to your infrastructure?<\/li>\n<li>Mac virtualization beyond the desktop &#8212; Don&#8217;t get me wrong, I love the Fusion team and use it myself, but there&#8217;s a lot more to virtualization than just running Fusion on your desktop. \u00a0What are you using to provide a virtual Mac infrastructure? \u00a0What kinds of applications are you using in your virtual Mac infrastructure? \u00a0What kinds of users use your virtual Mac infrastructure?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.macitconf.com\/2014CallforSpeakers\">Call for Speakers<\/a> has additional topic ideas, too. \u00a0Don&#8217;t feel limited by what I&#8217;ve listed here!<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re interested in speaking at MacIT but aren&#8217;t sure if you&#8217;ve got a good topic, I&#8217;d be happy to chat with you and brainstorm an awesome topic for you. \u00a0Just <a href=\"mailto:nadyne@gmail.com\">ping me<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The MacIT 2014 Call for Speakers is now live. \u00a0MacIT will be held in San Francisco, California, on March 26-29, 2014. \u00a0In short, we&#8217;re looking for people who have experience as Mac system administrators who want to share their expertise and network with other Mac sysadmins.
