{"id":1158,"date":"2013-04-04T07:38:34","date_gmt":"2013-04-04T14:38:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nadynerichmond.com\/blog\/?p=1158"},"modified":"2013-04-01T15:42:37","modified_gmt":"2013-04-01T22:42:37","slug":"on-blind-design","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nadynerichmond.com\/blog\/2013\/04\/04\/on-blind-design\/","title":{"rendered":"on blind design"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/alexlikesdesign.com\/\">Alex Griendling<\/a> wrote an <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.alexlikesdesign.com\/post\/45757922761\/its-been-awhile-since-the-design-community-has\">awesome blog post<\/a> about the predilection of the design community to redesign something that they glance at and decide that they don&#8217;t like. \u00a0His post concludes with this, which I think applies to more than just design:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Were designers to simply offer their opinions on newly released identities or logos, that\u2019d be one thing. Instead, by offering an opinion and an alternate solution that is presented as being better, we\u2019re disrespecting the designer(s) that made the work while completely ignoring that the piece being critiqued went through the same process that we deal with every day.
