I’m Nadyne Richmond. \u00a0As a user experience researcher, my job is to understand users and try to improve their experience with their applications.<\/p>\n
I was a staff researcher at VMware<\/a>. \u00a0I worked on a wide swath of VMware’s product portfolio, including vSphere, vCloud Director, vCloud Suite, Horizon, and Zimbra. \u00a0I also created and led VMware User Experience (vUE), VMware’s first internal conference for its user experience community.<\/p>\n Prior to VMware, I spent five years as a user experience researcher in the Macintosh Business Unit<\/a> at Microsoft<\/a>. There, I focused primarily on Outlook:Mac, PowerPoint:Mac, OneNote for iPhone, OneNote for iPad, and some cross-suite initiatives. \u00a0Before MacBU, I spent just under five years in IBM<\/a>\u2019s Information Management<\/a> division as a member of their User Technology group. While working on my degrees, I worked for a small telecommunications firm, doing technical support and software engineering for voice application systems.<\/p>\n I have three degrees: a BS in computer science, a BS in mathematics, and a MS in technical communication.
